All personal likes to support small businesses especially restaurants. And Dad's place has some of the best homemade milkshakes in the area. They are seasonal though so you got to catch them between spring and fall.

Very friendly workers that take your orders. The food was nice and fresh when it was brought to the table. I had chicken nuggets and fried chips. My boyfriend had an Italian beef sandwich with fries. The only thing that would have made it better would have been some melted cheese on it. The server had a big smile when he brought the food out and they made me a delicious root beer float with two scoops of ice cream. Christian music played in the background and there are many Christian paintings and pictures to look at while you eat.

Stopped in finally to check out this local place and the owners are SUPER nice people who truly care and make everything from scratch on site. Food was great and I'm not a fan of Christian music per se but if you ARE they have all kinds of CD's for free and to purchase of Christian music. They have live Christian music there sometimes too. Would definitely recommend their food! Give it a try! I had the sausage sandwich and it was great! Only thing I could recommend is instead of mustard they need a red sauce for it like they have at the fair. They're from Chicago originally so mustard on them must be a Chicago thing. I don't like mustard and it was a little bit dry with nothing. But still good! Freshly grilled peppers and onions and a good sized sub bun. Fresh cut fries were good but maybe a tiny bit over cooked, I just prefer them not so dark because they get hard and it hurts my teeth, but that's not their fault that I have bad teeth. Lol

I have found that the atmosphere and food are what I liked most. The Christian community is honored to have a place where the ways of the world are left at the door and the fellowship of our lord is prominent.

They say God works in mysterious ways and God certainly led my church group to Dad's Place in different ways. What drew me in was a sign on the road that said "Chicago food. Christian music." The others in my group had a flyer for Dad's Place at their Air B&B that peaked their interest. Together we decided to spend our Saturday night at Dad's Place. We loved the vibe! Service was good, food decent, but best of all we were blessed with meeting this Christian family who shared their musical talents with us. We would certainly come back if we are ever in this area again! Thank you Paul, CeCe, and Brooke! God bless!!

Cheeseburger and old time gospel music. Don't get excited about the food and you won't be disappointed. Really liked the music.

Best cheeseburger I've had in a long time!! The hand cut fries were small, almost impossible to grab one & dip in ketchup small. Also, they were a bit overcooked but I didn't care, the cheeseburger was worth it!!

I stopped in for lunch because it was the only place around. Yet, I was surprised at how open and clean the place was. The owners were very pleasant. There was plenty of space for social distancing. But most importantly, the food was great. Everything my party ordered was like home made. It wasn't fancy or pretentious, just honest, delicious, comfort food. If your near the area, definitely stop in for a bite.
